Velocity Aileron Pro 700c Wheelset

Velocity's Aileron Pro wheelset is hand-built in the USA using Sapim CX-Ray Spokes and alloy spoke nipples.

The Aileron rim features a disc specific elliptical profile designed with aerodynamics and weight as key factors. Specifically tuned to be aerodynamically paired with 23-28c road tires but with a 20mm inner width that compliments even the most voluminous gravel and ‘cross tires to 47mm! We regularly use this wheelset with 35mm to 40mm tires for our custom builds of Schlick Cycles Growler Adventure Bikes. They are light, strong and sweet!

The Aileron rim is tubeless ready using 24mm Velotape. Tight tolerances require the use of a low profile rim tape like Velotape to avoid tire installation issues. Veloplugs are not recommended on Aileron wheels.

Front hub:

• 9mm quick release - Internal cam quick release skewers are included with front wheel.

Rear hub:

• 142x12mm thru-axle - SRAM XD Driver.
