Full Spectrum Cycling Podcast

Full Spectrum Cycling started at Everyday Cycles.

The podcast grew out of the shop’s original idea that a bike shop could be more than a place to buy bikes and parts. Everyday Cycles was always intended to be a gathering place for riders, friends, stories, events, and the wider culture around cycling.

Recording the show live from the shop became part of that.

Full Spectrum Cycling mixed bikes with the other things that tend to happen when cyclists get together. Trips, events, music, beer, Milwaukee, interesting people, questionable ideas, and plenty of conversation that wandered well beyond bicycles.

That loose, social format became part of the show’s identity.

Over time, Full Spectrum Cycling outgrew being simply “the podcast from the bike shop.” The show continued after the Everyday Cycles retail space closed and eventually established its own home at FullSpectrumCycling.com, along with its podcast and video channels.

Today, Full Spectrum Cycling continues as its own media project, but its roots are still very much connected to Everyday Cycles.

That history also points toward where we’d like Everyday Cycles to go in the future.

If Everyday Cycles has a physical home again, podcasting and livestreaming will be part of it. We imagine a cycling clubhouse where rides, events, workshops, race watching, conversations, live shows, and other programming happen alongside a carefully curated selection of bikes and gear.

Full Spectrum Cycling was one of the first examples of what that kind of place could be.
